"Quality Trades - One Reliable Team"
Confirm that your contractor truly is licenced with the state. Licensed contractors are required to provide you with specific information about themselves and about your project.
Confirm that your contractor has insurance and a bond. If your contractor does not have insurance, your property insurance may not cover damage, or your premiums could increase significantly.
Confirm that your contractor's employees are covered by workers' compensation. If your contractor is listed as exempt and brings "employees" to work on your project, you will be responsible for any injuries and possible penalties.
Research your contractor's licensing and compliance and any disputes in their history.
Remember that a licensed contractor is more likely to pay their employees a living wage. Do you want people who are being paid very little, in cash, in your home when you're not there?
